8.10.2013 Electrical Wiring

Its almost been a week since our roof was finished. The electrical and plumbing rough in started last week and is almost finished too. Our site supervisor rang me today to book in an electrical walkthrough before plastering starts. This will be our first official walkthrough which is booked in for Thursday morning.

In the meantime the bricks have been washed and they just look awesome. The bricklayers did an amazing job. Although I am still not happy with the wash though as the mortar is still visible on the bricks. I will be speaking to the supervisor when I meet him on Thursday. But on the positive note the mix and match of the two bricks have really come off well. The two bricks really complement each other. If you see in the pictures below you will notice how silver brick have two shades which really gives the house a warmth feel and the pepper bricks for the pillars gives a great contrast. The Monument colour roof also contrast really well.

The front cladding has also been installed and we are really happy with how it looks. Our eaves have been completed too.

Our neighbour at the back have got the fence up so one less side of fencing to worry about. The next door neighbour were getting their driveway done and I caught up with the concreter and got a quick quote for getting our driveway and alfresco concreted. His quote wasn't too bad .

28.9.13 Roof Update

21.9.13 Fascia and Gutter delivered

This week will be big on site. Site clean up to be done and roof will be started too. Fascia and gutter have already been delivered for work to start Monday or Tuesday. 

Our fascia is dune colour with roof and gutter both monument. 

20.9.13 Brickwork Completed

Got a txt this afternoon that finally our brickwork is finished. The brickies were only suppose to be there for two weeks but ended up being almost 3 weeks. The work looks good. We have to wait until the bricks are washed and then see how our house comes up.

We met our new SS this week who told me that the roof is going up next week.

I guess a couple of more weeks and our exterior should be complete. 

12.9.13 Brickwork Update III

I dropped in today to see the progress of our brickwork. I didn't expected  huge progress but was glad to see the house shaping up nicely. It has been slow couple of weeks when you look back and think how fast everything else associated with the build has been.

The brickies are really good and and they think they should be finished by next week. It been really hot off late but rain is predicted. I hope it stays away...Fingers Crossed!!!
